New Appointed President & CEO
August 7, 2020 – (Hsinchu) Powertech Technology Inc. Ltd. (“PTI”, TWSE code: 6239) announces its change of executive management team today and starts its succession planning program after Board’s approval. Mr. J.Y. Hung, the current CEO & President of PTI, will be retired at the end of September 2020. Mr. J.Y. Hung re-joined PTI in October, 2013. Under his distinguished leadership and wholehearted devotion, PTI enjoys significant growth in both revenues and net profits. On behalf of its shareholders and employees, PTI expresses its great gratitude and sincere appreciation for his outstanding contribution to PTI. After his retirement, Mr. J.Y. Hung will continue serving as a board director of PTI. Also, he will be the advisor of PTI to help PTI's continuous growth and success.
Effective on October 1, 2020, Mr. Boris Hsieh will be the new CEO of PTI Group, and Mr. J.S. Leu will be the new President of PTI. Mr. Boris Hsieh is the current CEO of Greatek Electronics Inc. (“Greatek”), a PTI's subsidiary. Before joining PTI, he worked for Foxconn, Kingston Far East, AST computer, etc. As PTI’s new CEO, Boris will dedicate his efforts on overseeing PTI Group business marketing and development, group business collaboration and alliance with strategic partners, and group's business strategic planning and future directions. Mr. J.S. Leu is the current COO of PTI. Before joining PTI, he worked for Powerchip Semiconductor, Motorola, Qume, etc. As PTI’s new President, Mr. Leu will overseas PTI’s daily business operation and management, including 100% owned subsidiaries.
