PTI Acquires Hsinchu Science Park Facility to Expand Advanced Manufacturing Capacity
On November 14, 2025, Powertech Technology Inc. (“PTI”) (stock code: 6239) announced that, in order to further expand its advanced packaging process manufacturing capacity and meet the growing demand from major customers for Fan-Out Panel Level Package (“FOPLP”), its Board of Directors has approved the purchase of a factory located in the Hsinchu Science Park from AUO Corporation (stock code: 2409) for a total transaction amount of NT$6.898 billion.
As global demand for AI computing power continues to rise, advanced packaging technology has become a core competitive factor in the semiconductor industry. PTI’s acquisition of this factory will effectively accelerate the mass production process of FOPLP advanced packaging, meeting the growing needs of major international customers in AI, HPC, and automotive electronics sectors.
PTI will follow its mass production plan to complete the factory renovation, equipment installation, and recruitment of professional talent in phases. PTI will continue to expand its advanced packaging capacity, enhance technological capabilities, deepen customer service, and further strengthen its leadership and competitiveness in the advanced packaging and testing market, steadily driving the company's medium- and long-term business development.
